A Chartered Surveyor, Charlie started his career with Healey and Baker (now Cushman and Wakefield) after gaining a BA (Hons) in law. He spent three and half years in City of London leasing and development department before moving to the firm's headquarters in the West End as Deputy Head of European Operations. He worked closely with the network of European offices advising on cross-border projects with additional specific responsibilities outside Europe for Israel, Egypt and Lebanon. During this time, Charlie was a member of the British American Chamber of Commerce committee for Central and Eastern Europe.

After becoming a partner, Charlie then spent four years in Kuwait, responsible for building a new multi-service business platform and developing new client relationships throughout the Gulf. Whilst there he took on several appointments including, Executive Board Director ñ British Business Forum Kuwait, Chairman of Kuwait branch - Middle East Council of Shopping Centres and Main Board Director ñ Middle East Council of Shopping Centres.

On returning to London, he spent two years as Partner in charge of the City of London Investment Team before being invited in 2003 to join the board of British Ensign Estates Ltd, a private property investment company of some 30 years standing. He was tasked with the rationalization of a diverse property portfolio alongside various retail, leisure and manufacturing interests. He successfully implemented a five year asset management strategy and a property acquisition and disposal programme.

In 2008, Charlie joined Moorevale as Director and co-principal to focus on building the property portfolio and create value through active and strategic asset management.

Charlie’s interests include trekking in the UK and Europe, mountain climbing (he successfully summited Mont Blanc in 2007) and running. His favourite film is The Three Amigos and his favourite restaurant is Wiltons in Jermyn Street.
